german: Die formlosen Klänge des elektroakustischen Komponisten, Improvisators und Klangkünstlers Nick Dunston winden und drehen sich, während er im Rahmen seines Quintettprojekts „Skultura“ mit Genrekonventionen spielt. Von minimalistischen, animalischen Lauten bis hin zu sich entfaltenden Free-Jazz-Soli strotzt die Musik von Dunston und seiner Gruppe nur so vor spielerischer Intention: Ein Abschnitt konzentriert sich vielleicht auf ein Instrument, das fröhlich klagt, während sich an anderer Stelle wirbelnde Texturen aus ineinandergreifenden Melodien und Rhythmen ausdehnen, füllen und brechen – wie auf ihrem selbstbetitelten Album von 2023 zu hören ist. Skulturas unvorhersehbare Musik bietet den Zuhörern ein körperliches Erlebnis und entführt sie mit den Ohren voran in eine fast chaotische Klangwelt voller sprunghafter Bewegungen. Während sie neue Musik für ihr nächstes Aufnahmeprojekt entwickeln, läuft Skultura gerade jetzt auf Hochtouren.

english: The amorphous sounds of electroacoustic composer, improviser, and sound artist Nick Dunston twist and turn as he toys with genre conventions through his quintet project Skultura. From minimal animalistic utterances to unfurling free-jazz solos, Dunston and his group’s music bursts with playful intent: one section might focus around an instrument joyfully wailing, while elsewhere, scrambling textures of interlocking melodies and rhythms expand, fill and break — as heard on their 2023 self-titled release. Skultura’s unpredictable music provides a bodily experience to listeners, leading them ear-first into a near-chaotic sound world of mercurial movement. As they develop new music for their next recording project, now especially, Skultura is firing on all cylinders.

Zwischen clubtauglichen Beats, dichten Klangtexturen und experimentellen Gitarrenkonstruktionen entsteht eine energiegeladene Mischung, die sowohl tranceartig als auch kraftvoll wirkt. Mit minimalen Gesten und maximaler Wirkung kreiert Parquet ein intensives Live-Erlebnis, das Grenzen zwischen Rock, Elektro und Avantgarde aufbricht.

Between club-ready beats, dense sonic textures, and experimental guitar arrangements, an energetic mix emerges that feels both trance-like and powerful. With minimal gestures and maximum impact, Parquet creates an intense live experience that breaks down the boundaries between rock, electro, and avant-garde.
